Fuel Station Automation and Monitoring

When managing a network of petrol stations it is always important to be aware about alert situations happening on remote petrol stations and to get information about them as fast as possible. Also, it is important to be able to remotely monitor realtime operation of the activities on the petrol station to manage them correctly and avoid any unexpected situations. There is a simple solution for this task! PTS-2 forecourt controller is a popular forecourt controller for automation of petrol stations. In case if there is an existing POS system already installed on the station – then the PTS-2 controller allows to monitor operation of the fuel dispensers, tanks and price-boards (and optionally to control the sales when required).

THE SOLUTION:The PTS-2 controller will pass through all communication with saving of all important events to its database with automatic upload to a remote server:

  1. Performed pump transactions.
  2. Changes of fuel measurements in tanks.
  3. In-tank deliveries.
  4. Detected alerts/problems/warnings.
  5. Realtime status of all connected equipment.

1.Diesel Dispenser Automation and Monitoring System

A petrol pump or a fuel dispenser for gas stations is being used for refueling different vehicles with fuel (gasoline, diesel, LPG) at filling stations, fuel depots, mobile fuel tanker, etc. Such devices provide accurate registration of dispensed fuel ensuring each liter counted. Drivers worldwide are using different definitions of petrol pumps. You may find petrol, fuel, gasoline, gas pumps or dispensers. Obvious that for individuals the name is determined by the types of dispensing fuel.

What does a fuel pump do?

The main purpose of a pump is dispensing and timely terminating certain fuel types coming from the station to the driver’s tank. The main unit of the delivering unit is a pump with an electric or mechanical drive. Hand-operated fuel dispensers had hardly been manufactured. Such type is quite seldom and used mostly for internal refueling or in some mobile stations. Some time ago this type was completely replaced by electric drive.

Pumps include reading devices with an indication that displays information on dispensed fuel, its price and total cost.Forecourt controller and automation system are responsible for pump operation, and cash register can be connected as well. Fuel attendant presets the order by inputting needed liters or funds to be paid. Each dispenser with an electronic block equipped with a taken nozzle sensor which helps to avoid wrong designation of fueling point. Self-service solutions can fully eliminate labor operation at the site.

2.Browser Diesel Automation and Monitoring System

Mobile Bowser Monitoring is used to monitor dispensing of diesel by tanker trucks. This system controls, monitors, and stores the refueling data and sends to customer’s Mobile/Computer via Trackster’s cloud Server.Bowser Monitoring solution also has the ability to monitor diesel stock in the tank at any given time on real time basis. Reports related to refill, dispensing, draining etc. can be generated.

ADVANTAGES:

  1. Integrated Dashboard:Widgets allow users to configure dashboards.Include data from various source.Display order Combine fuel, fleet, production and other external data to create management
  2. Fleet Functionality:Single solution meets all fuel & fleet requirements.Easy to use interface combines relevant data for ease of reference.Compare data from various systems to determine trends & exceptions.
  3. Fuel Stock Management:Control and Monitors Multiple Products.Hourly updates of tank Levels.Immediate update of tank Alarms.Centralized control of product can be achieved.Customer sets warning level & delivery levels.

3.Fuel Diesel Tank Level Monitoring SyStem

Possibilities of the PTS controller over fuel dispensers and ATG consoles allow to apply it in various ways for provision of control over forecourt equipment at petrol stations and allow its easy integration with existing POS systems and OPT terminals at petrol stations.

Additionally, it is possible to apply PTS controller inside the casing of the ATG console. At this a scheme of connection specified on the above image is saved, but at some extra development of the console GUI it is possible to make a completely new function of the console – provision of monitoring and control over dispensers from the console in parallel with POS system. As a result, the console becomes a common system of control, monitoring and account providing:connection of console to any POS system, OPT terminal for provision of control over dispensers.

Possibility to connect various brands of probes, which communication protocols are not supported by the console.Transmission from PTS controller to console data on sales transaction of dispensers for formation of reconciliation reports and automatic tanks calibration.Additional possibility to monitor and control fuel dispenser operation from the console display in parallel to POS system already installed at petrol station(needs update of console software).
